Background
The Child Development Center (CDC) is located at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho. This medium-sized facility is designed to cater to children from infancy through preschool, providing dedicated activity areas for infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers, and preschoolers.

The center also includes administrative and staff spaces, as well as essential support facilities such as a lobby, restrooms, storage rooms, and a kitchen. Work Details
The construction tasks involve a comprehensive range of activities including:
- Building systems installation such as concrete foundations, floor slabs, masonry walls, metal framed roof systems, and standing seam metal roofs.
- Implementation of information systems and fire protection and alarm systems.
- Installation of electronic access control systems and cybersecurity measures.
- Integration of Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS).
- Site development tasks including fencing, utilities connections, exterior lighting installation, paving for parking areas and sidewalks, storm drainage management, landscaping, and signage.
- Earthwork activities including grading and preparation of concrete pads.
- Electrical and communication utilities setup.
- Incorporation of mass timber design elements such as beams, walls, girders, columns, and roof systems.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete the work within 730 calendar days.
