SUBJECT: Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source for Motorola LMR Operation and Maintenance Services

1. In accordance with (IAW) the requirement to publicize notice of proposed contract actions under FAR 5.201 and the requirement to synopsize, the purpose of this notice is to inform any interested potential vendors of the Government's intent to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of Motorola LMR Operation and Maintenance services for the 374th Communication Squadron (374 CS) at Yokota Air Base (AB), Japan. The total estimated value is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.

2. Description of Requirement. The intended acquisition is a Firm Fixed-Price single-award IDIQ. The requirement is to provide Motorola LMR Operation and Maintenance service as specified in the PWS.

3. Based on the above description, the Government intends to award to MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS. INC. on a sole-source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), and FAR Subpart 13.5. Any responses to this notice must fully demonstrate that more than one responsible source exists to fulfill this requirement.

4. The determination to compete this intended contract action or not is under the sole discretion of the Government. Any information received shall be considered toward the purpose of determining whether to pursue a competitive procurement process. The Government shall not be responsible for any costs incurred resultant of responding to this notice. This notice does not serve as a request for quotes or proposals.
