MOSQUITO CONTROL NOAA Wallops Command Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS), Reference the Attached Request for Quote (RFQ).

The NOAA Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS), located in Wallops Island, Virginia, has a requirement for the periodic application of a mosquito control chemical throughout the WCDAS campus. This initiative aims to protect personnel and visitors from mosquito-borne diseases.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and application equipment necessary for mosquito control services. The contractor must be a State of Virginia licensed pesticide applicator and certified as a Category 8 Public Health and Safety Commercial Applicator for Hire. The scope includes:
- Conducting 30 visits per year for mosquito control applications, with treatments applied using Vehicle Mounted ULV (Ultra Low Velocity Fog) around paved roads from the guard gate and around each antenna base.
- Treatments will utilize an Adulticide targeting adult flying mosquitoes with active ingredients such as permethrin, resmethrin, etofenprox, and sumithrin.
- The ULV fogger must be calibrated to provide a treatment area of 300 feet wide or 150 feet on each side of the vehicle at a speed of 10 mph.
- Applications shall occur between sunset and sunrise to minimize impact on pollinators and maximize effectiveness against mosquitoes. Monthly invoices will be submitted using the IPP.gov platform.
