Background
The Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations (AFMAO) is responsible for the dignified transportation of human remains. This contract aims to acquire transportation services that comply with all federal, state, territory, and local regulations. The goal is to ensure that the highest quality of professional transport services is provided by licensed personnel and vehicles.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following services:
1. **Removal/Delivery**: Transport remains in a suitable funeral coach or service vehicle from/to locations designated by authorized AFMAO representatives, including delivery to common carriers or cemeteries within a 1,000-mile radius of Dover Air Force Base.

2. **Loading/Unloading**: Ensure respectful loading/unloading of remains into/from vehicles, using rain covers during inclement weather to protect caskets.

3. **Escort Travel**: Allow escorts in military uniform or business attire to travel with the remains under government travel orders; the contractor is not responsible for their return travel.

4. **Common Carrier Deliveries**: Ensure remains are delivered to common carriers at least 2 hours before scheduled departures, accounting for security and boarding requirements.

5. **Employee Attire**: Personnel must wear conservative business attire without company advertising while performing transportation duties.

6. **Driver Responsibilities**: Drivers must have mapped directions or GPS, ensure adequate fuel, and cover tolls; they are responsible for any traffic violations or accidents.

Period of Performance
The overall contract delivery period is from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily around Dover Air Force Base and within a 1,000-mile radius.
