Background
The solicitation is for the Monument Fire Center 3 Story Biohazard and Mold Cleanup. The work involves the removal of mold, biohazard waste, mouse droppings, and dead animal bodies from the building. The contractor is required to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC guidelines for the cleanup process. The contract also includes provisions for inspection of the site and the formation of decisions on substitutions.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for removing all traces of mold in the first-floor bathroom as per the mitigation recommendations in the attached mold report. This includes removing contaminated drywall and wood trim, replacing them with like and kind material, and painting newly installed drywall to match existing wall color. Before replacement, the contractor must provide 48-hours’ notice for inspection.
All contaminated material should be hauled away offsite to a landfill. The contractor must wear appropriate PPE when removing mold waste and clean and remove all biohazard waste, mouse droppings, and dead animal bodies inside the building according to CDC Guidelines. After completing all work activities, a deep cleaning inside the building is required to remove any other debris.
