MOF Roby Tower Site Improvements

Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is issuing a solicitation for construction services related to the Roby Tower Site Improvements on the Mark Twain National Forest. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facilities at the Roby Lookout Tower Site, which is part of the agency's mission to manage and preserve national forests and grasslands. This project is set aside for small businesses and is subject to the Construction Wage Rate Requirements statute.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, permits, insurance, and supervision necessary for the following tasks:

1. **Siding**: Remove existing wood siding and trim along with building wrap; inspect structure walls for damage or rot; install new building wrap and fiber-cement siding system with color approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

2. **Roofing**: Remove existing asphalt shingles and felt/underlayment down to decking; perform incidental demolition work; dispose of waste materials in compliance with applicable laws; furnish and install new underlayment materials, sheet metal flashings, trim around roof protrusions, eave and rake drip edges, roof vents, ridge vent, new vent pipe collars, and shingles. Install new flashing around all roof protrusions and valleys; remove and reinstall guttering if needed.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and must be completed within 30 days thereafter.

Roby Lookout Tower Site, Roby, MO 65552 (T33 N, R11W, Section 27), located approximately 23 miles northwest of Houston MO on State Highway 17.
