Description

This acquisition will support the Air Force Technical Applications Center and provide non-personal services to support the operation and maintenance of radars located on the United States Naval Ships.

Background
The contract supports the Air Force Technical Applications Center by providing non-personal services for the operation and maintenance of radars on United States Naval Ships. The goal is to ensure these complex radar systems are fully mission capable to support various command areas.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for the operations and maintenance of two Mobile Radar Systems: COBRA KING on USNS Howard O. Lorenzen and GRAY STAR on USNS Invincible. Tasks include ensuring radars are mission capable 24/7, managing program operations, security, safety, personnel training, instrumentation operations, communications, logistics, and system deactivation.

The contractor must also conduct regular maintenance periods for COBRA KING annually and for GRAY STAR biennially.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a maintenance period every twelve months for COBRA KING lasting 60 days +/- 15 days, while GRAY STAR undergoes maintenance every other year.

Place of Performance
Operations primarily occur in the Pacific Command's area of responsibility for COBRA KING and in the Central Command's area for GRAY STAR.
