Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for a Mobile MRI Lease including Technologist Services to support the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) located in Austin, TX. The goal of this contract is to provide essential imaging services to veterans, ensuring they receive timely and quality healthcare. The contractor will be responsible for providing a mobile 1.5T MRI unit along with qualified technologist services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, equipment, transportation, and materials for a Mobile MRI Leased Trailer and Technologist Services at CTVHCS. Key tasks include:
1. Providing a mobile 1.5T MRI unit that is five years old or newer, equipped with specific technical capabilities including high-performance gradient systems and various RF coils.

2. Staffing the mobile unit with one technologist and one alternate technologist who are responsible for conducting MRI exams.

3. Ensuring services are available five days per week, with operational hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

4. Pro-rating the monthly rental fee when the MRI unit is not functioning during scheduled hours.

5. Transporting the Mobile MRI coach to and from CTVHCS and ensuring proper installation/set-up of equipment following industry standards.

6. Transmitting completed electronic data after each exam to CTVHCS computer systems.

7. Providing evidence of technologist competency and maintaining compliance with health examination records.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will start 21 days after award and includes a 12-month base period plus four optional 12-month periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), Austin Outpatient Clinic located at 7901 Metropolis Drive, Austin, TX 78744.
