Background
The Mobile Harbor Maintenance Dredging project is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. The mission of this project is to maintain navigability in the Mobile Harbor by performing necessary dredging operations. The goal is to ensure that the harbor remains functional for maritime activities, which is critical for local and regional economic activities.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform maintenance dredging in Mobile Harbor, including the disposal of dredged material into the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). The base bid includes dredging from Station 244+66 to 267+73 (turning basin), Station 267+73 to 600+00, and Station 1250+00 to 1370+00.

A 100ft buffer will be applied to the red-side channel toe of the turning basin, which will not be included in the required dredging prism; however, if material is removed from this buffer area, it will be compensated at the contract unit price for dredging. Optional dredging assignments may include areas from Station 9+30 to 32+76, Station 105+00 to 150+00, and Station 164+00 to 212+00 if funding becomes available.

The contractor must also supply dredge-related equipment such as tugs, barges, cranes, and other marine equipment necessary for coastal restoration projects. All dredged material will be disposed of at ODMDS located approximately five miles south of Dauphin Island, Alabama.

Period of Performance
The work under this contract shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed within a period ranging from 180 to 240 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed within Mobile Harbor, Alabama.
