1. The purpose of this amendment is to publicize the List of Questions and Answers May 2026 attachment 3.

Amendment 0001 - Extend Quotes and submission of questions due date.
1. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the quote due date from 5 May 2026 to 3 June 2026 and extend the due date to submit questions from 15 April 2026 to 27 May 2026.
2. Technical Questions and Answers (Q&A) will be provided via Amendment 0002, anticipated for release in late May 2026.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with RFO part 12.
3. The Period of Performance (PoP) is hereby revised to start 1 July 2026 (previously 1 June 2026). The Pricing Schedule reflects the updated dates for the Base Year and all Option Years. Please review the attached Amendment 0001 for FA448626Q0004.
The Contractor shall provide non-personal services to Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer Maintenance Services, at Lajes Field, Portugal. Please refer to the attached the Combined Synopsis/ Solicitation and in the Performance Work Statement, for a more detailed description of this service - attachment 1.

Background
The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 86th Airlift Wing (USAFE), is issuing solicitation number FA448626Q0004 as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer Maintenance Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the serviceability and operational effectiveness of the Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer (MAFT) at Lajes Field Air Force Base in Portugal. Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all specialized tools, equipment, and qualified labor to inspect, test, maintain, and repair the Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer at Lajes Field. The work must comply with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Air Force Technical Order (TO) 35E1-2-13-1, commercial standards, manufacturers’ recommendations, procedures, technical data, and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.

The MAFT operates on Butane gas instead of Propane. The Contractor must demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in maintaining aircraft fire training facilities and provide a qualification summary with references. Technicians must hold certifications as both a Master Plumber and a Master Electrician.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027.
