Background
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District (MVN), Contracting Division, requires various types of earthen levee embankment enlargement and repair, seepage berm construction, seepage cut-off construction, and installation of relief wells along the Mississippi River levees to support flood risk management.

Work Details
Work consists of placing geotextile material; placing and compacting earthen fill to required lines and grades with moisture and density control; constructing sheet pile or slurry seepage cut-off features; installing groundwater relief wells to specified depths below ground surface; collecting and analyzing soil boring data to establish well screen locations;
placing well screens, stems, filter packs, caps, covers, and seals; grouting groundwater wells as required; providing drainage per plan drawings; developing and cleaning groundwater wells; establishing turf grass over work areas;
constructing crushed stone access roadways and ramps; miscellaneous reinforced concrete work; clearing and grubbing; ditching; furnishing and installing culverts and cattle guards; constructing drainage structures in borrow areas; and crushed stone or asphalt paving on the levee crown.

Within the USACE New Orleans District Area of Responsibility along the Mississippi River levee system
