Mississippi River Southwest Pass and Calcasieu River Bar Channel Hopper Dredge Contract No. 11-2025 (OM25011)

The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge. Work will be performed in Mississippi River Southwest Pass and possibly in other areas of the New Orleans District, in areas of both the Galveston and Mobile Districts, and in other areas deemed necessary.

The magnitude of construction range for this Dredge project is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00.

Background
The Mississippi River Southwest Pass and Calcasieu River Bar Channel Hopper Dredge Contract No. 11-2025 (OM25011) is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which is responsible for maintaining navigable waterways and flood control.

Work Details
The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge. The contractor will be responsible for conducting dredging operations in the Mississippi River Southwest Pass and potentially in other areas within the New Orleans District, as well as areas of both the Galveston and Mobile Districts, as deemed necessary.

Key tasks include:
- Submission of an Accident Prevention Plan that includes a description, magnitude, major scope of work, and locations.
- Daily inspections to ensure safety requirements are met, with reports maintained at the job site.
- Submission of various safety forms including ENG Form 6206 (Activity Hazard Analysis), ENG Form 6292 (Site-Specific Safety & Occupational Health Plan Worksheet), ENG Form 6293 (Accident Prevention Plan Worksheet), and ENG Form 6282 (Site Safety and Health Officer Designation Letter).
- Development of a Dive Plan for any diving operations performed under the contract.
- Installation and maintenance of emergency alarms on all floating plants requiring a crew.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the Mississippi River Southwest Pass, with possible work in other areas within the New Orleans District, as well as areas in both the Galveston and Mobile Districts.
