Background

Work Details
The contract involves comprehensive dredging operations using either a cutterhead or water injection dredge. Key tasks include developing an Accident Prevention Plan, submitting a Dive Plan, erecting safety signs, ensuring means of escape on floating plants, installing emergency alarms and signals, conducting safety drills, displaying signal lights as per U.S. Coast Guard regulations, and implementing a Comprehensive Hazard Communication Program.

Additionally, the contractor must adhere to ground fault protection standards, control hazardous energy through lockout/tagout systems, and manage radiation safety if nuclear materials are used aboard the dredge.
