Background
The Mississippi River, Baton Rouge to Gulf of Mexico, Southwest Pass Hopper Dredge Contract No. 1-2025 (OM25001) is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The mission of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and improvement of navigational channels in the Mississippi River system, which is vital for commerce and transportation.

The goal of this contract is to provide dredging services that will enhance the navigability of the Southwest Pass, ensuring safe passage for vessels traveling to and from the Gulf of Mexico.

Work Details
The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge. The contractor will perform dredging operations primarily in the Mississippi River Southwest Pass and may extend to other areas within the New Orleans District, as well as regions within both the Galveston and Mobile Districts as deemed necessary.

Key tasks include:
- Submission of an Accident Prevention Plan including various safety forms (ENG Form 6206, ENG Form 6292, ENG Form 6293, ENG Form 6282).
- Daily inspections to ensure safety requirements are met with reports maintained at the job site.
- Implementation of a Dive Plan addressing safety protocols for diving operations.
- Erection and maintenance of Safety Signs at designated sites.
- Construction of a Project Sign identifying work with the Corps of Engineers.
- Provision of two means of escape for personnel on floating plants, ensuring safety during operations.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is in the Mississippi River Southwest Pass, with potential work in other areas within the New Orleans District, as well as regions within both the Galveston and Mobile Districts.
