Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Capabilities in response to Executive Order "The Iron Dome for America"   2

Background
The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is conducting market research to identify innovative missile defense technologies, architectures, concepts, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to detect and defeat threats from ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles, as well as other advanced aerial attacks.

This initiative is in response to the Executive Order titled 'The Iron Dome for America'. The goal of this contract is to explore potential solutions and capabilities against identified threat classes and to inform MDA's strategic planning for missile defense systems.

Work Details
Responders are expected to provide information papers that include:
- A detailed description of the proposed concept or capability tied to specific lines of effort;
- Identification of the class or specific threats to be engaged;
- A schedule with milestones supporting demonstration and delivery within defined time epochs;
- Integration methodology including required data;
- Potential or current partners for execution;
- Associated risks;
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL);
- Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost by fiscal year;
- Contract vehicle approach for accelerated delivery; and
- An assessment of industry capability and capacity.

The RFI outlines multiple time epochs for capability delivery: Epoch 1 by December 31, 2026; Epoch 2 by December 31, 2028; Epoch 3 by December 31, 2030; and Epoch 4 beyond December 31, 2030.

Period of Performance
The period of performance spans multiple epochs with capabilities expected to be delivered or demonstrated by specified dates: Epoch 1 by December 31, 2026; Epoch 2 by December 31, 2028; Epoch 3 by December 31, 2030; and Epoch 4 beyond December 31, 2030.
