Miramar National Cemetery Splitting Irrigation Zones   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration Pacific District Office is issuing this contract for work at the Miramar National Cemetery located in San Diego, California.

The mission of the National Cemetery Administration is to honor veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service. The goal of this contract is to improve the existing irrigation system at the cemetery by splitting irrigation zones and installing valve assemblies, ensuring minimal disruption to cemetery operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, services, and supervision to perform landscape irrigation work at Miramar National Cemetery. The scope includes:

1) Site preparation involving cutting and removal of existing sod, trenching and backfill, and sod restoration;
2) Installation of seven (7) 1.5-inch valve assemblies tied into an existing 4-inch HDPE mainline;
3) Installation of two-wire systems and decoders with proper conduit connections;
4) Cutting, capping, and installing valve assemblies to existing laterals as per irrigation maps;
5) Flushing laterals post-installation to ensure functionality. All work must comply with VA requirements as well as Federal, State, and Local Codes.

Place of Performance
All work will be conducted at Miramar National Cemetery located at 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
