Minot AFB Frequency Converter Repair

Background
The Government intends to award a sole source contract to Piller Power Systems, Inc. for the repair of a frequency converter model AJS C8-1R-90-480/200-6/40-G-B.

The 5th Maintenance Squadron (5 MXS) at Minot Air Force Base (AFB) has identified a critical need for troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of this specialized equipment. The goal of the contract is to ensure that repairs are conducted by qualified personnel to avoid costly replacements due to improper repairs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all management, tools, specialized equipment, supplies, technical data, and labor necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and inspect the frequency converter in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

The work will take place in Dock 8, Building 864, Bay 2 at Minot AFB, ND. The frequency converter is currently showing two error codes that require specialized expertise and materials for troubleshooting and repair. Piller Power Systems, Inc. is the manufacturer of the frequency converter and does not train or certify third-party organizations as factory-authorized service providers for this equipment.
