Background
The solicitation is for a construction project at Building 128, 200 Duane Road, Fort Totten (Bayside), NY 11359-1002. The project involves the installation of nine multi-zone wall mount mini-split evaporator units with four outdoor condensing units to provide cooling in the summer months and supplemental heat in the extreme winter months. The building will serve as swing space for multiple Army Reserve units during the Ft. Totten’s full Facility Revitalization (FFR). The site visit will be conducted on August 1, 2023, and August 3, 2023. Questions regarding the requirement must specify the section or paragraph of the Statement of Work.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide detailed pricing in the proposal, including a narrative describing the approach to accomplishing the scope of work and all assumptions included in the proposal price. The contractor must submit proper and complete documentation verifying the disposal of all hazardous wastes generated and recycling or disposal of all universal wastes and non-hazardous wastes.
The project specifications include providing and installing mini-split units, sizing and installing the entire cooling and heating system based on cooling loads, providing proper ventilation and air quality levels, and installing electrical circuits for each mini-split system. The contractor is also responsible for purging the system with nitrogen, charging it with refrigerant, insulating line sets, routing condensate lines to the exterior of the facility, and demonstrating a full test of the newly installed systems at project conclusion.
