Background
Military Sealift Command (MSC) requires a portfolio of maritime training courses for the Civil Service Mariner (CIVMAR) workforce, which is comprised of approximately 5,700 U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Mariner Credentialed Seafarers who are employed by the U.S. Navy. The CIVMARS serve aboard approximately 59 MSC ships worldwide.

Work Details
The portfolio of training courses is comprised of fourteen (14) specialized training courses needed to qualify for and maintain USCG merchant mariner endorsements and two (2) general training courses needed to develop specialized skills required for shipboard operations. The required courses are as follows:

1) Able Seaman (AB) Training Course
2) Proficiency in Survival Craft (Lifeboatman)(PSC) Training Course
3) High Voltage Safety Course
4) Tank Ship Dangerous Liquids Course (Tankerman Person in Charge (PIC))
5) Tank Ship Dangerous Liquids Refresher Course
6) Medical Person in Charge (PIC) Course
7) Medical Care Provider Course
8) Train the Trainer Course
9) STCW Basic Training Refresher Course
10) STCW Basic Training Revalidation Course
11) Advanced Firefighting Course
12) Advanced Firefighting Refresher Course
13) Advanced Firefighting Revalidation Course
14) Basic Welding Course
15) Basic Machinist Course
16) Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch Assessment Course

Period of Performance
This is a Single Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five-year ordering period and an option to extend the term of the contract for up to an additional five-year ordering period.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Norfolk, VA and/or San Diego, CA.
