This project replaces primary power service transformers, primary power service distribution switchgear, and connects to existing feeders on Main Site distribution. Increases total system capacity to 168 MVA with three primary transformers. Modernizes the existing electric supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. Specifics include:

  1. Replaces and increases the capacity of the existing Dominion Gosport Industrial Transformers, circuit breakers, and relay control house with new SO transformers, circuit breakers, and relay control house (WORK BY OTHERS).
  2. Replaces and increases the capacity of the Gosport Tie Station switchgear with a climate controlled, pre-engineered stainless-steel switchgear house on a new elevated platform. Provides new SCADA controls.
  3. Connecting Primary feeders to Backbone Ductbank.
  4. Demolition of Building 1532, a 53 m2 switch/substation facility; and Building 1702, a 155 m2 switch/substation facility.
  5. Two microtunnel railroad crossings for electrical ductbanks.

Background
