Microwave Measurement Receiver, 26.5GHz and 50GHz   2

AFMETCAL at Heath OH has a requirement at some future date for the purchase of a Microwave Measurement Receiver. These units are being acquired for the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL) and the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMELs) to be used to support radar and communication systems. This requirement will be solicited as Full and Open Competition (FOC) under NAICS code 334515 (750 employees). The Government envisions a firm fixed price contract with one base year and four one year options for each unit.

There are several performance requirements for this product. The required frequency causes this requirement to consist of two units - 26.5GHz and 50GHz.

Beyond that, the critical specifications are shared by both units. These requirements are Analog Modulation Measurements (AM, FM & PM), Attenuation (Tuned RF), Spectral Purity (Harmonics, Non-Harmonics, Sub-Harmonics), & Absolute Power.

It is anticipated that for the 26.5GHz requirement, six (6) units will be purchased in the base year with an option quantity of up to 173 units over four (4) years. The best estimate for the 26.5GHz is that a total of 179 units will be ordered however, there is no guarantee that an option will be exercised.

It is anticipated that for the 50GHz requirement, five (5) units will be purchased in the base year with an option quantity of up to 23 units over four (4) years. The best estimate for the 50GHz is that a total of 28 units will be ordered however, there is no guarantee that an option will be exercised.

This acquisition will also require a ten year product support plan and commercial data.

The pre-solicitation number is FA2263-20-R-0006 and shall be referenced on all correspondence submitted. This notice shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice.
