Microsoft Enterprise Services II

Background
The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) Contracting Office (Code 22550) is soliciting questions and feedback on a proposed contract action for Microsoft support services. The purpose of this Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) is to provide the DoD with Microsoft Unified Support (MUS) and additional Engineering Support (ES) for Microsoft products and cloud services. These services will be made available to the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC) and U.S. Coast Guard.

Work Details
The scope of this requirement is to provide MUS and ES tasks. MUS tasks comprise a comprehensive 24x7 support solution, enhanced productivity, and technology throughout the Information Technology (IT) lifecycle utilizing tools and knowledge bases, service delivery management (support account management), problem resolution assistance from product developers, and resources with direct access rights to developers of Microsoft proprietary products and source code when applicable to support DoD’s mission in a rapidly evolving digital environment.

ES tasks provide access to software developers and product and cloud engineering teams to leverage a variety of tools, processes and subject matter experts and consultants. ES is needed to support the DoD in continuing with the worldwide acceleration and migration to cloud and to enable constantly evolving security and productivity features utilizing Microsoft technologies.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be a ten-year contract to include a five-year base period with one five-year option period.
