Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking to establish a 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Vishay Precision Group Inc. (VPG) for the procurement of Micro-Measurements brand strain gages, sensors, compatible accessories, and various workshops.

The mission of NSWCCD's Performance Evaluation Branch, Code 653, is to conduct structural tests and evaluations of naval ship components and models to support structural performance evaluation and data collection processes. The use of Micro-Measurements brand precision strain gages and sensors is critical for measuring and monitoring deformations and stresses in various structural components.

Work Details
The BPA will cover repetitive purchases of Micro-Measurements brand precision strain gages and sensors including:
1. General Purpose Strain Gages:
- Linear patterns for measuring strain in a single direction.
- Tee rosettes for measuring orthogonal strains.
- Rectangular rosettes for determining principal stresses and strains.
- Delta rosettes for determining principal stresses and strains.
- Shear/torque patterns for measuring shear strain and torque.
2. Special Purpose Strain Gages:
- Residual stress strain gages.
- Magnetic fields strain gages.
- Weldable strain gages.
- High temperature strain gages (up to 2100F).
- Manganin pressure strain gages for high-pressure measurements.
- Shear modulus strain gages for composite materials testing.
3. Strain Gage Accessories:
- Adhesives, protective coatings, surface cleaning tools, installation tools, bondable terminals, wire and cable, solder and flux, application kits.
4. Training Workshops:
- Instrumenting strain gages, preparing layouts, applying adhesive agents.

Period of Performance
The BPA ordering period will begin at contract award date and proceed for a period of five (5) years or until the total of all Calls is reached.
