The purpose of this Sources Sought / Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of providing a Balance, Mettler Toledo part number 64089587 and Titrator, Mettler Toledo part number 64089596.
These parts require engineering source approval by the design control activity. Existing unique design capability and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source requires acquisition of the part from the approved source. The approved source retains data rights, manufacturing knowledge and technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application.
Vendors who wish to become a qualified source shall provide a capabilities statement.
