Mess and Mess Attendant Services

This procurement is for management and mess attendant (M&MA) services at mess halls aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). Contractor functions include preparation, handling, storage, and serving of food, food service equipment maintenance and repair, cleaning and sanitation of facilities and equipment, special meal support, and associated management and quality control and mission-essential services in accordance with DFARS 252.237-7023 for CLINs 0003, 1003 and 2003. The base period is twelve months. The contract will contain one twelve month option period and a six-month option pursuant to FAR 52.217-9, and a six-month option to extend pursuant to FAR 52.217-8. The total maximum duration of the contract may be 36 months.

M&MA services are needed to fulfil the ongoing requirement to feed and nourish Marines. The Marine Corps lacks sufficient active duty personnel to perform these vital functions, thus contractor support is necessary.
