Medical Transcription Services

Background
The Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota is seeking Native American or Small Businesses to provide a wide range of Medical Transcription services. The facility's mission is to provide quality health care services to the Native American population on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation. The 27-bed facility is known as the Belcourt Indian Health Service or the Belcourt Service Unit.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide a wide range of medical transcription services, including transcription of death, discharge and transfer summaries, history and physicals, operative reports, emergency room visits, outpatient office notes, progress notes and other miscellaneous reports. The contractor must have extensive knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology and will provide accurate interpretation and transcription of required medical reports. The contractor is responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to the IT rules of behavior, Privacy Act of 1974, the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.
