Description

To provide a mission essential core information system for the operational and sustainment with periodic modernization life cycle phase. Medical Operational Data Systems is strategically aligned with the Human Resources Management primary mission area of the Defense Business Enterprise Architecture and all four Military Health System Enterprise Architecture process.

Background
The Medical Operational Data Systems (MODS) is a centerpiece Department of the Army Surgeon General (DASG) & US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Medical Readiness System. MODS is Government-owned, Contractor-operated (GOCO), Acquisition Category III, and Mission-Essential Defense Business System (DBS) in the sustainment lifecycle phase with periodic modernization initiatives. MODS is strategically aligned within the Defense Business Enterprise Architecture (EA), the Defense Human Resource Management (HRM) EA, the Army HRM EA and the Military Health System (MHS) EA. MODS currently is the authoritative data source for Army Individual Medical Readiness, Global Force Medical Readiness and Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Human Capital, Medical Education, 68W Certification and Special Pay information.

Work Details
The contract entails MODS life-cycle management and services to MODS; system management, administration and integration support services to include: Porfolio and Project Management, System Configuration Management, Technical and Engineering Management, System Operations and Administration Support – Cloud, Service Desk Services (Call Management, Issues Resolution and Tracking Capability), Adapting software capabilities to required levels of service, Performing appropriate technology refresh work, Making small to large scale software enhancements to include performing routine requirements, software changes and modernization initiatives.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a base period from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025 with additional option periods extending up to 30 September 2029.

Place of Performance
The performance locations are primarily at USAMITC, 2372 Howitzer St Bldg 2372, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234 with potential performance in Germany.
