Medical Gases and Cylinders

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Valley Coastal Bend Veterans Affairs Health Care System (VCBVHCS) to provide medical cylinders and gases. The goal of the contract is to ensure that the VA facilities have a reliable supply of medical gases and cylinders necessary for patient care. This contract is intended for a single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a base year and four option years.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and other items necessary to deliver medical cylinders and gases as outlined in the Statement of Work. The specific requirements include:
- Medical gases as listed in Attachment D.1.
- Medical gas cylinder rentals.
- Emergency delivery services.

The contract will cover:
- Base Period: 05-31-2026 to 05-30-2027
- Option Period 1: 05-31-2027 to 05-30-2028
- Option Period 2: 05-31-2028 to 05-30-2029
- Option Period 3: 05-31-2029 to 05-30-2030
- Option Period 4: 05-31-2030 to 05-30-2031

All medical gases must conform to specifications prescribed in the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary. The contractor must maintain accountability for all medical gas cylinders while handling them across various facilities within VCBVHCS. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment and materials, including DOT certified vehicles and certified medical gas technicians.

Period of Performance
Base Year from May 31st, 2026 – May 30th, 2027 plus four (4) one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to multiple locations within the Valley Coastal Bend Veterans Health Care System.
