Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide full-service preventative maintenance and repairs for VA-owned medical gas sourced equipment. This contract aims to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of medical gas systems used in healthcare facilities, specifically within the Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (VCBHCS) located in Harlingen, TX.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Conducting quarterly scheduled maintenance and emergency repair services on medical gas source equipment as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

2. Ensuring that all work is performed by certified and qualified field service technicians in compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.

3. Providing all necessary resources, including parts, tools, labor, and travel for maintenance services.

4. Performing preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and addressing repairs as needed.

5. Offering 24/7 technical support and help desk assistance for immediate issues.

6. Maintaining a phone response time of 60 minutes and on-site response within 8 hours for urgent matters.

7. Coordinating all work with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) prior to commencement.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base year from May 7, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with four option years extending through April 30, 2031.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Harlingen VA Clinic located at 2601 Veterans Drive, Harlingen, TX 78550, and at the Harlingen VA Clinic – Treasure Hills at 2106 Treasure Hills Blvd., Harlingen, TX 78550.
