Mechanical Site Prep, Forests in MS, Chickasawhay RD   2

Background
The contract is for mechanical site preparation on the Chickasawhay Ranger District of the Forests of Mississippi. The work is described in the 5.4 portion of the National Forests in Mississippi PBSC Vegetation Management Contract. The objective of this contract/order is to restore longleaf pines to suitable soils on the Chickasawhay RD, which will be a major step in the restoration of longleaf ecosystems.
The contractor will furnish all labor, supplies, tools, transportation, and supervision necessary for the mechanical (bulldozer with rake) work. A US Forest Service employee and/or COR will be on site to supervise the operations of the contract. The US Forest Service will provide longleaf containerized seedlings.

Work Details
The work involves mechanical site preparation on 184 acres to rake slash to improve the areas to be planted in 2024. The contractor is responsible for quality control and compliance checks.
The US Forest Service will furnish no other materials, labor, or equipment unless specifically identified in -Furnished Property Clause.

The contract will be performed on the Chickasawhay Ranger District of the Forests of Mississippi.
