Background
The solicitation notice is for the upcoming Meal, Religious, Ready-To-Eat, Halal contract. The contract is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support-Subsistence Directorate in Philadelphia, PA. The contract aims to procure Meal, Religious, Ready-To-Eat, Halal products to support the military.

Work Details
The Meal, Religious, Ready-To-Eat, Halal contract will have an indefinite number of delivery orders with a required delivery schedule of 30 days after receipt of the initial order and 7 to 10 days for subsequent orders. The effective term of the contract will contain five consecutive tiered delivery periods, each lasting 365 days. Offerors are requested to submit offers in all five tiers and may offer unit prices that differ per tier.
The solicitation is a full Small Business Set-Aside.

Period of Performance
The effective period of the contract for each tier will be 365 days with the performance period ending on the 365th day of Tier 5.

Place of Performance
The products are to be delivered FOB Origin, Customer Direct. The Contractor is responsible for Inspection; however, DLA reserves the right to invoke USDA Inspection at source.
