Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, has awarded a modification to delivery order N00019-22-F-0979 under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-20-G-0005 to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), San Diego, CA. This has been awarded on a sole source basis for an effort to convert the Main Operating Base (MOB)-6 in the IFC-3 configuration to a Forward Operating Base (FOB) (FB-6) in the IFC-4 configuration, an option to procure FB-6 Site Installation, an option to procure FB-3 Site Installation, and an option to procure the FB-2 Material Kit.

As the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-4C Triton UAS, NGSC is the only source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the MQ-4C UAS required to perform the necessary production efforts within the required timeframes and without substantial duplication of costs. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government's requirements.
