Maxwell AFB - 42 MSG - Dorm Mattresses and Box Springs

Background
The 42nd Contracting Squadron, located at Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement to procure box springs and mattresses for the 42nd Mission Support Group (MSG) at Maxwell AFB. This solicitation is part of a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The contract aims to furnish dormitory accommodations for enlisted personnel and support the operations of the 908th Helicopter Training Wing.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide the following items:
1. Mattresses (Full-Extra Long) - Quantity: 190
- Specifications:
- Plush top double-sided pillow top mattress
- Minimum 700 innerspring coil count
- Coil gauge: 15.5; border wire: 6-gauge; two double edge support clips
- Quilted cloth ticking with specific layers of Purfoam and FR fiber
- Color options: Red or Blue (no white or light colors)
- Dimensions: 53” W x 80” L x 14” Depth
2. Box Springs (Full-Extra Long) - Quantity: 190
- Specifications:
- Dimensions: 53” W x 80” L x 9” D (+/- 2” on D)
- Made from spruce or pine wood slats with reinforced cotton corners
- Polyester knitted blend tacking cover matching mattress fabric
- Bottom dust cover and plastic corner guards on each corner
3. Installation/Removal of Existing Sets - Quantity: 1 (set includes both mattress and box spring). Installation will occur in training rooms located in Building 1431.
