Background
UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of inmate mattress covers. The agency's mission is to provide job training and work opportunities for inmates while producing quality products.

This contract aims to establish a one-year base period with four option years for the supply of mattress covers, ensuring compliance with specific manufacturing standards and regulations.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of inmate mattress covers made from cloth polyurethane/urethane with a knit backing. The specifications include:
- Material: Cloth polyurethane/urethane with a knit backing
- Coating must be TPU or polyurethane
- Total weight must be 8.50 oz/yd² in accordance with ASTM D3776
- Manufacturer will seal corners
- Guaranteed minimum quantity is 1,000 each, with an estimated not-to-exceed quantity of 370,000 each over the life of the contract.
- Fabric must be Buy American compliant.

Delivery will be made to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., Williamsburg Cut and Sew, S301 Hwy 521, Salters, SC 29590.
