Mathwork's MATLAB software suite provides Intramural researchers computational toolkits tailored to specific areas of research. NIH requires a mechanism to provide unlimited access to MATLAB and the various toolkits.

NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order to The MathWorks, Inc. for an Institute-wide license for MATLAB software and its accompanying toolboxes.

This initiative aims to provide NIH researchers with unlimited access to MATLAB's computational toolkits tailored for specific research areas, addressing the limitations of individual licenses currently in use.

Work Details
The requirement is for the procurement of Institute-wide licenses for MathWorks MATLAB software and its accompanying toolboxes.

The MATLAB suite offers close to 100 toolboxes, which provide various methods of data manipulation and analysis. Currently, NIDCD researchers acquire individual licenses on a per-user basis, which are restricted to a limited number of toolkits and have varying expiration dates throughout the fiscal year. Renewal lapses have occurred due to renewal notices being sent incorrectly. Only The MathWorks, Inc. can provide the necessary software and ongoing maintenance and service.

Place of Performance
The software will be utilized by researchers at the National Institutes of Health.
