The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL) is seeking information on commercially available Mission Critical Push-to-Talk Systems. This information is being sought for the DHS Science and Technology Directorate's System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program which provides information on commercially available equipment to assist response organizations in equipment selection and procurement. The SAVER program develops knowledge products and conducts objective, practitioner-relevant, operationally oriented assessments and validations on commercially available equipment and systems. Relevant information will be shared nationally with federal, state, local, tribal and territorial response agencies. Background
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL) is seeking information on commercially available Mission Critical Push-to-Talk Systems.

This initiative is part of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate’s System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program, which aims to assist response organizations in selecting and procuring equipment. The SAVER program develops knowledge products and conducts assessments on commercially available equipment, sharing relevant information nationally with federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial response agencies.

Work Details
NUSTL is requesting information on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Mission Critical Push-to-Talk systems that meet the following specifications:
- Must be ruggedized to withstand drops, impact, heat, cold, moisture, dust, and dirt beyond standard handheld communication devices.
- Must have push-to-talk (PTT) connectivity and operate on MCPTT channels for security and privacy.
- Must operate within P25 compliance.
- Must be able to operate on publicly available encryption standards.

The products must be suitable for use by law enforcement, fire personnel, emergency medical services (EMS), and the first responder community to ensure personnel safety and data integrity.

Place of Performance
Responses are expected from vendors who can provide products that will be utilized by law enforcement, fire personnel, EMS, and first responders across various geographic locations.
