Maritime Courses of Instruction   2

Background
The Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Group requires contractor support to deliver United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved training courses. These courses are essential for personnel to obtain higher-level education and training, enabling them to become professional mariners.

The goal of the contract is to ensure NSW personnel are well-prepared for advanced navigational responsibilities and meet maritime standards for basic safety and proficiency, thereby maintaining dominance in maritime special operations worldwide.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive classroom maritime Courses of Instruction (COIs) that comply with USCG Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) requirements. The contractor is responsible for ensuring attendance of the identified number of NSW Special Boat Operators in these professional maritime education and training courses.

Course pricing must include all expenses related to attending the courses, as the Government will not provide locations for training. The intent is for Government personnel to join pre-established commercial courses; dedicated instructors or course dates are not mandatory. Additionally, customized courses may be negotiated at the task order level, and online courses may be incorporated into the contract through bilateral modification.

Period of Performance
The total length of the contract shall be five years, with an option for an additional six months if exercised.
