Maritime Automated Ingestion for Scene - Aware Identification and Localization (MAINSAIL)   4

Background
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), specifically the Multi-Domain Sensing Autonomy Division (AFRL/RYA), is issuing a solicitation for the MAINSAIL (Maritime Automated Ingestion for Scene-Aware Identification and Localization) program. The objective of this program is to develop autonomous capabilities for maintaining custody of maritime targets of interest using spaceborne sensing assets.

The goal is to enhance target recognition through automated methods and contextual data, improving the ability to identify and predict target locations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for developing algorithms that can:
1) Identify maritime targets using automated target recognition methods.
2) Represent information in a machine-readable format utilizing high-level structures.
3) Analyze data to determine prior and likely future locations of targets.

Deliverable items include:
a) Data Items as specified in the attached Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs).
b) Software deliverables, which may include software tools, algorithms, and both source and executable code, to be determined based on proposals.
c) Hardware deliverables, which may consist of computing equipment and special test equipment, also to be determined based on proposals.
d) Other deliverables as required, including data collection and demonstration results.

Period of Performance
The overall effort will span from contract award through September 2028.
