Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is proposing to perform seismic work and limited modernization at the Mike Mansfield Federal Building and Courthouse (FB/CH) in Butte, Montana. National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Right of Way (ROW)/easement services are required as a part of this construction project. The GSA Region 8 is seeking a contractor to perform the services identified in the scope of work (SOW) for the development of an EA and other NEPA planning documents for this construction project and ROW/easement development services.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking to perform seismic work and limited modernization at the Mike Mansfield Federal Building and Courthouse in Butte, Montana. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate and modernize the federal building to increase its longevity, lifespan, and historical integrity, while also addressing seismic, accessibility, and safety issues and reducing energy consumption. The scope of work includes replacing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, waste and water piping, and performing a full seismic retrofit. Additionally, there will be accessibility upgrades, historic renovation, façade repairs, re-roofing, installation of a solar photovoltaic array on the roof, and potentially installing a geothermal heating and cooling system. The project is expected to be awarded in the fall of 2024 with construction planned to begin in the spring of 2026 at the Mike Mansfield Federal Building and Courthouse in Butte, Montana.
