Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Radioactivity Group is responsible for developing, maintaining, and disseminating radioactivity standards, as well as applying measurement techniques to meet the requirements for new standards.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance of three Liquid Scintillation Spectrometers (LSC) and a Wizard2-24800010 gamma well counter, which are crucial for achieving the mission of accurate radioactivity measurements. A maintenance service agreement is sought to maximize return on investment and minimize costs associated with instrument failure.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive maintenance services for three Liquid Scintillation Spectrometers and one gamma well counter. Services include:
1. Unlimited emergency visits during regular business hours and one scheduled preventive maintenance visit per year.
2. Coverage for all parts, labor, travel, and per diem associated with repairs.
3. Repair or replacement of all necessary parts to ensure full operational performance of the instruments.
4. All services must be performed by authorized personnel competent in operating the specified instruments, adhering strictly to manufacturer protocols and specifications.
5. Response to service calls within 48 hours during regular business hours, with telephone support provided if issues cannot be resolved immediately on-site.
6. The Contractor must procure all necessary parts within 72 hours after identifying a need for replacement parts, which may be new or remanufactured.
