Maintenance Dredging of Rollinson Channel/Stumpy Point   3

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging of the Rollinson Channel/Stumpy Point MD-Ct, North Contract

The work includes:

1. Approximately 100,000-200,000 cubic yards of material is to be removed from Stumpy Point Entrance Channel Range 1 and Range 2 (option) and the North Carolina Department of Transportation Ferry Channel (option). Placement of dredged material from these channels shall be in the adjacent upland Stumpy Point Disposal site. No disposal area improvement work will be required for this contract as it was just improved by Dare County. The dredging shall be performed by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Stumpy Point Channel has an environmental dredging window from November 1 to February 28.
2. Approximately 200,000-300,000 cubic yards of material is to be removed from Rollinson Channel, Hatteras Connecting Channel, Hatteras Ferry Channel Ranges 4 and 5, Barney Slough South, and Sloop Channel North. Placement of dredged material from Rollinson Channel, Hatteras Connecting Channel, Hatteras Ferry Channel Ranges 4 and 5, and Barney Slough South will be on Cora June Island or a National Park Service Beach at Hatteras. Placement of dredged material from Sloop Channel North will be on a National Park Service Beach at Ocracoke. The dredging shall be performed by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Method of placement of dredged material will be by control of effluent for Cora June Island placement. There is an environmental window for placement of dredged material on Cora June Island from September 1 to March 31 for the protection of nesting waterbirds. Beach placement is restricted to the environmental window of November 16 to March 31.

This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.

The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.

This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 26 June 2023

The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $37,000,000.00.
