Justification and Approval attached along with Statement of Work.

Background
The solicitation is for a one-year maintenance agreement for 5 Nicolet spectrometers. The instruments are heavily used for data collection at NAMRU-Dayton and have additional software code designed by staff at NAMRU Dayton written to interface with the original equipment software. The service technicians at Thermo Electron are familiar with these instruments and the additional software and have successfully performed needed services on these instruments in the past.

Work Details
The maintenance agreement includes one demand on-site field service visit, response within 5 days, engineer labor, travel and parts for one demand onsite field service visit, priority status for technical support inquiries, one scheduled Preventative Maintenance visit, and a kit of basic consumables required for routine Preventive Maintenance. The purchase price is $2,496.0 per unit, totaling $12,480.30 for the 5 spectrometers. Delivery requirements include one year of service.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is one year for the maintenance agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at NAMRU-Dayton.
