Description

This is a Limited Sources Justification, see attachment.

Background
The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), under the Department of Justice, requires a contractual vehicle for prisoner transportation services due to the expiration of current contracts and an Executive Order prohibiting private prison facility contract options.

Work Details
The contractor will provide transportation and prisoner security support services, including movement/transportation of prisoners for outside medical care, transfers to/from other Government facilities, and airlift sites.

Procedures must ensure staff and prisoner security, safety, and use restraint equipment identical to USMS standards.

Period of Performance
One-year base period from September 24, 2021 through September 23, 2022.

Place of Performance
Southern District of California, Southern District of Texas, and potentially other locations impacted by the Executive Order.
