LPD-17 Knuckleboom Crane Support Services   3

This contract action was not awarded competitively in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements , as implemented by FAR Subpart 6.302-1. The contract is not fixed price. Allied is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the LPD-17 Knuckleboom Crane (KBC). The KBC must be compatible with the interfaces and requirements in support of the LPD-17 Class ship design, and must meet the requirements detailed in document Purchase Technical Specification. Allied provides proprietary field technical services and aftermarket components support for the KBC throughout its lifecycle. In cases of fleet repair, replacement, and calibration events, OEM proprietary equipment and procedures are required to bring the KBC into working condition. These procedures are required for maintenance events such as sensor calibration and system upgrades.
