Lp-205 Replace Refrigeration Systems Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, Virginia

Background
The project involves replacing the two refrigeration systems that service the large refer at the Air Freight Terminal in building LP-205 at Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, VA.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform a thorough site visit and verify materials and measurements before preparing the bid for any work associated with this project. They must provide an itemized price breakdown that includes sufficient detail to permit analysis of all costs for material, labor, equipment, and subcontracts. Additionally, they must install all equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions, ensure installers are certified to do the work, adhere to all EM-385 and OSHA safety regulations, and perform startup and performance verification testing as required by manufacturer specifications. The contractor is also responsible for disposing of all unused and demolished materials/equipment to an approved disposal site. All electrical work shall be performed per National Electric Code. All refrigerant shall be properly recovered and disposed of. The new units shall be mounted within the same existing support structures. Both evaporators and condensers are fed from panel “CS”, located next to the existing pad mounted condenser units on the ground at the southeast corner of the building.
