Lower Pool 10 Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project   3

Background
The project involves construction of various size and shaped islands within the Mississippi River. The base of the islands will be constructed with granular fill from McMillan Island and if needed from main-channel dredging. The islands will be topped with fine fill obtained from access and habitat dredging. The islands will be planted with native grass and willows.
There will also be several stand-alone rock features.

Work Details
The work details include construction tasks such as berm and island construction using granular fill and fine fill in different areas, riprap, turf establishment, and planting willows in various areas. The contract also includes a breakdown of quantities for each task under the base period, first option, second option, third option, fourth option, and fifth option.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract includes the base period and multiple options for additional work.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations where the construction projects will be performed include different areas such as IS-H25, SP-H3N & SP-H3S, SP-H12, IS-H31, IS-H27, RM-H3, SP-H11, SP-H2, and IS-H16 within the Mississippi River.
