Lower Foley Seed Orchard Fence Replacement   2

Background
The USDA Forest Service - R6 Pacific Northwest is issuing this contract for the replacement of the perimeter fence around the Lower Foley Seed Orchard, located on the Willamette National Forest. The goal of this contract is to enhance the protection of the orchard from wildlife damage, ensuring the preservation of conifer trees within the orchard. The project is situated in Lane County, Oregon, and is accessible via established roadways.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to replace a total of 5,088 linear feet (LF) of perimeter fence around the Lower Foley Seed Orchard. This includes:

1) Removal and disposal of existing fencing and gates;
2) Site preparation involving brushing along the fence line with debris mulched/chipped and spread on-site;
3) Installation of new round metal fence posts with a height of 6 feet 6 inches and agricultural type woven mesh;
4) Installation of new metal double swing gates for vehicle access;
5) Optional repair (In-Kind) of approximately 100 feet of fire suppression damaged fence at Pebble Seed Orchard.

The work may require varying levels of brushing and some tree removal due to lack of maintenance along the fence line.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at two locations: Lower Foley Seed Orchard (44.161202°, -122.059177°) and Pebble Seed Orchard (44.234641°, -121.999462°), both located in Lane County, Oregon.
