Low Visibility Soft Body Armor

Background
The FBI is seeking Request for Proposals for Low Visibility Soft Body Armor and Replacement Parts as outlined in the RFP. The contract will be structured as a Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for one base year and four possible one-year option periods. The FBI is seeking a low-visibility armor system which includes soft armor panels, a concealable carrier, a carry bag, and the ability to buy replacement carriers over the life of the contract. The soft armor utilized in this system shall stop common pistol projectiles. The low-visibility armor system shall be available for male and female users and available in multiple sizes.

Work Details
Under the policies and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with Part 15, Contracting by Negotiations, the Contractor shall provide Low-Visibility Soft Body Armor and Replacement Carriers. The FBI is seeking low-visibility armor available in two different side-coverage categories. The contract will be awarded to the highest technically rated Offeror with a fair and reasonable price.

Period of Performance
The contract will have one base year and four possible one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
Performance under this contract may require access to FBI locations to provide some service, product, or perform some other official function of interest to the FBI.
