Background
The contract is issued by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) for technical assistance services to conduct repairs and troubleshooting on a RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant (LPAP) Compressor #6 onboard a Ford Class Vessel during the FY 26 Periodic Incremental Availability (PIA).

The goal of the contract is to ensure the effective overhaul and repair of the LPAP #6 as part of the vessel's maintenance schedule, utilizing technical findings from NNSY Engineering.

Work Details
The contractor will provide technical assistance services to conduct repairs and troubleshooting on one RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant Compressor #6. The work includes:
1. Technical support during air-end replacement and testing for LPAP #6.
2. Attendance at a Work Integration Project Brief prior to commencing work.
3. Compliance with Federal OSHA requirements for hazardous energy control during work execution.
4. Maintenance of cleanliness levels as specified in NAVSEA standards.
5. Quality assurance in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-004.
6. Coordination with NNSY for system isolation and understanding of authorized work areas prior to starting work.
7. Provision of all necessary tools, test equipment, consumables, and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
8. Regular updates via email to NNSY regarding project progress.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from August 7, 2026, to February 5, 2027.

The contract will be performed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) onboard the Ford Class Vessel.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific requirements including: possession of a Facility Security Clearance (FCL) to submit a proposal; all contractor personnel must obtain access through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS); a minimum security clearance of Confidential – Red Badge is required; contractors must comply with hazardous energy control procedures; and must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship for badge issuance.
