Louisville VA Medical Center - Weekend and Holiday Psychiatry Services - 5 year BPA   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing a contract for Weekend and Holiday Psychiatry Services to support the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY. The goal of this contract is to provide onsite Board-Certified Psychiatry services to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring high-quality mental health care that meets or exceeds national standards established by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide onsite Board-Certified Psychiatry services, including but not limited to:
- Inpatient care duties such as admitting, diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, managing treatment, and discharge/transfer processes.
- Outpatient care including seeing new patient referrals and follow-up for discharged patients.
- Clinical psychiatry services in collaboration with VA staff, ensuring timely communication of test results and adherence to established medication policies.
- Participation in peer reviews for selected cases and preparation of monthly call schedules for mental health emergencies.
- Compliance with all relevant VA directives and guidelines regarding patient safety, privacy, and documentation standards.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center located at 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. Upon the opening of a new hospital location at 4906 Brownsboro Road in Louisville, KY, services will transition to that site.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must ensure that all proposed physicians have current full and unrestricted licenses to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory. Additionally, all physicians must be Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). The contractor must propose a minimum of six key personnel who are credentialed and available for scheduling.
